Michael Geihe’s hair salon "St. PAULI BLOND" in Düsseldorf-Flingern was one of the hippest event locations starting from 2009. In the spacious salon, a former department store, haircuts were provided by the internationally renowned hairdresser and stylist Michel Geihe alongside other stylists. There were also several fashion designers who presented their locally crafted collections right there at various runway fashion shows and showcased their additional talents at the subsequent dance events. Various art exhibitions also took place in the basement. This included the 2010 exhibition "Citizens in Uniform" (Bürger in Uniform) by Dirk Sanner. It also featured changing exhibitions by various students of Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie.

The painting 1-48 rbg (240x173 cm) was painted in the basement of the hair salon:

The support for the artwork was a side panel of a catwalk from one of the fashion shows, donated by the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus.
